The Witcher 3 draait beter op PS4 dan Xbox One
De kans is groot dat The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt beter draait op PlayStation 4 dan op Xbox One. Dat zegt Marcin Iwinski, een van de oprichters van ontwikkelaar CD Projekt Red, in een gesprek met website Eurogamer.
Hij geeft hier overigens wel bij aan dat de twee versies nog alles behalve af zijn en dat er nog een hoop aan wordt gedaan om de game optimaal op beide platformen te laten draaien.
"We are still working on squeezing the juice out of the consoles and Microsoft are supporting us in this respect", zegt Iwinski. Het verschil is volgens Iwinski zo klein dat je het bijna niet met het blote oog kunt waarnemen.
"The final effect, whether it's 720p, 1080p - we had the debate in the studio about it and actually asked our tech guys to explain how it works, and they sent me some complicated graphs that 'if I have this size of the screen, and I sit one meter or two meters from it, then I might be able to see the difference."
Het belangrijkste is volgens de ontwikkelaars dat het spel het maximale uit de beide machines weet te halen, wie het dan beter doet is voer voor de pr-mensen.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt komt in februari 2015 uit op PlayStation 4, Xbox One en pc.
