The Witcher 3 wordt uitgegeven door Namco Bandai

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt wordt in Europa uitgegeven door Namco Bandai. Namco heeft een overeenkomst gesloten met de Poolse makers van de game en zij zullen de promotie en distributie van de game gaan verzorgen in vrijwel alle Europese landen.

Baas Adam Badowski van CD Projekt Red: "We’ve worked with NAMCO BANDAI Games before, so our partners there know both The Witcher and the ideals that drive us as a studio. We’re convinced that they understand our vision for the game and that they will do a great job at letting gamers know how the game’s open world and great story are going to change the next-gen RPG landscape."

De game staat gepland voor een release in 2014 voor pc, PlayStation 4 en Xbox One en de lijst met landen waarin de game verschijnt omvat onder andere Nederland, Noorwegen, België, Duitsland en Zwitserland.

Namco is trots op de samenwerking met CD Projekt RED: "CD Projekt RED has well earned its marks as a premier, innovative studio and it is with extreme delight and pride that we are today confirming we will be adding the eagerly awaited Witcher 3 to our line-up next year. We look forward to being once again the European partner of CD Projekt RED, and providing first-class service to one of the most revered video game franchises as it is coming to next-generation consoles in 2014."

Het eerste deel van The Witcher verscheen in 2007 voor pc en in 2011 kwam het vervolg dat in 2012 ook op de Xbox 360 uitkwam.
