THQ stapt mogelijk terug naar Games for Windows Live
THQ's Danny Bilson heeft aangegeven dat de uitgever in de toekomst mogelijk terugkeert naar het Games for Windows Live-platform. Wanneer is nog onduidelijk.
Volgend jaar laat THQ de service vallen voor het spel Dawn of War II: Retribution en ruilt hem in voor Steamworks. Daarmee lijkt de uitgever klaar te zijn met de GFWL, maar niet is minder waar. Microsoft zoekt zelfs contact met hen.
“Microsoft is really talking to me a lot about getting back on Games for Windows Live”, zegt Bilson. Maar Steamworks vindt hij nou eenmaal beter werken dan Microsofts PC-platform.
Bilson voegt toe: “I like both platforms and I really, really, really like Microsoft as a partner. They’re fantastic partners. I want to respect them.”
En met wie THQ in zee gaat maakt in principe niets uit, want de plannen staan al vast. “You’re going to see us putting out almost every, single console title we can on PC to expand our audience and expand the customer base, ultimately.”
