Netflix succesvol op Golden Globes, Chadwick Boseman krijgt postuum award

Netflix is de grote winnaar geworden bij de Golden Globes gisternacht tijdens de awardceremonie. Het was sowieso een goede avond voor streamingdiensten en dat is ook terug te zien in de lijst met winnaars

De streamingdienst, die onder andere beeldjes won met hitseries The Crown en The Queen's Gambit, werd 42 keer genomineerd, waarvan er 10 werden verzilverd. Sacha Baron Cohen mocht een Golden Globe in ontvangst nemen voor zijn rol in de tweede Borat-film en de film won ook de prijs voor beste comedyfilm. Daarnaast won Chadwick Boseman postuum voor zijn rol in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, ook een Netflix-film, gebaseerd op het toneelstuk van de legendarische August Wilson.

De winst voor Nomadland gaat de geschiedenisboeken in. Regisseur en producent Chloé Zhao werd de tweede vrouwelijke regisseur en eerste vrouw van kleur die een Golden Globe won voor beste dramafilm.

De ceremonie werd dit jaar voor 78e keer gehouden en gepresenteerd door Tina Fey en Amy Poehler. Onder de foto is de volledige lijst met winnaars te bekijken.
