Monkey Island 2: SE bonusmateriaal
De Monkey Island-serie staat bekend om zijn humor en vooral leuke en soms echt onlogische puzzles. De remake ‘The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition’ was een mooi eerbetoon aan een klassieker. LucasArts gaat deze traditie nu voortzetten met een remake van Monkey Island 2: LeChucks’s Revenge.
Deze special edition zal een mooie bonus hebben. De makers van de originele versie hebben namelijk de moeite genomen commentaar in te spreken. Het gaat om Ron Gilbert, Tim Schafer en Dave Grossman. De mannen vertelden het volgende tegen Gamespot: ”Every year that goes by, I get more nostalgic about the old games. I've always wondered if it was nostalgia for the game or for that time when we were all working together. But after playing the special edition for Monkey 1, I can honestly say that, in my opinion, it actually holds up."
Nu hopen dat ze ‘The Curse of Monkey Island’ ook opnieuw uit gaan brengen, want dat was toch wel de beste uit de Monkey Island-serie. Schafer had in ieder geval al een goed idee voor de implementatie van Natal, nadat hem gevraagd was wat hij het leukste vond uit de Monkey Island-serie: "The spitting contest. No other game had spitting in their game, really. Maybe I'm just biased because I wired that part up. But I thought it was the best part of the game. Now that I'm thinking about it, 'Spitting Contest' would make a great Natal game."
Lijkt me nu niet echt een heel goed idee!
