5000 liedjes in Rock Band doel voor de lange termijn

Eergisteren gaf MTV aan zijn mediabibliotheek voor Rock Band te willen vergroten naar minstens 5000 nummers in 2009. Nu heeft de baas van Harmonix gezegd dat dit ene doel is voor de lange termijn, en dat dit voor 2009 proberen te halen waarschijnlijk niet mogelijk is. Wel ziet hij potentie voor de toekomst, aangezien Rock Band goed gebruikt kan worden om ook liedjes die verder gaan dan alleen rock aan te bieden in hun game.

Rock Band will be less constrained from a genre standpoint, and I think you will see us starting to branch out into... whether it's country or R&B and jazz or funk, or things of that sort. With the critical mass of the 'rock' core covered, of course we'll keep expanding it, but the critical mass is covered, so now we can start to branch off in ways that haven't made sense in the past but will make sense moving forward."
