Lich King moet het klassieke Warcraft-gevoel terug brengen

Blizzard belooft ons dat de volgende expansion voor World of Warcraft weer het hardcore Warcraft-gevoel moet terugbrengen bij de gamers. Dit nadat The Burning Crusade een kleine zijstap maakte de ruimte in. Lead Game Designer Jeffrey Kaplan over de eerste uitbreiding:

"It's kind of a reaction to how high fantasy we got for the last expansion - going to space and some of the stuff that strayed from the feel of Warcraft and some of that hardcore fantasy vibe. We want to get back to that with Northend. go for that gothic fantasy vibe where it's a little bit darker and a little bit more Hardcore."

Als voorbeeld voor dit Warcraft-gevoel noemt Kaplan de Death Knight. Deze Hero class is erg macaber, je zult ook rondlopen in een gitzwarte armor met spikes die er overal uitsteken. Het zal de donkerheid van Warcraft uitstralen.
