SNK heeft aangekondigd dat ze ook voor de Wii gaan ontwikkelen. De eerste game die ze op de nieuwe Nintendo machine gaan uitbrengen is Metal Slug Anthology, een compilatie van de delen 1 t/m 5.

Fans worldwide have been looking forward to our return to Nintendo platforms and what better way then to bring our complete Metal Slug arcade collection to Wii.
