GTA: SA grote winnaar Golden Joystick Awards

Ook Nintendo viel in de prijzen met de award voor Publisher of the Year en One to Watch for Christmas voor The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Sony ging naar huis met de Golden Joystick voor Innovation of the Year voor haar PSP, Halo 2 won Xbox Game of the Year en Valve kreeg de prijs voor PC Game of the Year met Half-Life 2.

De jaarlijkse Golden Joystock Awards, gepresenteerd door de Britse comedian Jimmy Carr, vonden plaats in het luxe Park Lane Hilton Hotel in Londen. De awardshow, die dit jaar voor de 23ste keer gehouden werd, zijn inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een van de grootste en belangrijkste jaarlijkse evenementen in de gamingwereld. Iedere award wordt uitgereikt op basis van de stemmen van gamers, waaraan uiteindelijk 200.000 van hen gehoor gaven dit jaar.
