EA: "We benutten de Xbox 360 volledig, PS3 komt nog"

Patrick Soderlund, senior vice-president van EA Games Europe, heeft in een interview met Official Xbox Magazine aangegeven dat zijn bedrijf momenteel alles uit de Xbox 360 haalt wat er te halen is. Qua kracht is de Xbox 360 niet tot meer in staat dan wat we nu zijn, anders dan de PlayStation 3 waar zeker nog wat te halen is. EA leert de PS3 steeds beter kennen en de kracht van Sonys console zal dan ook steeds beter benut gaan worden.

"Sony has a lot of good games this year. If you go to their booth, there's a very consistent, high quality product line-up and that will help them. I do think that we'll see developers inside the organisation getting to understand the PS3 better and I think that we're getting more power out of PS3 right now... I think that we've maxed out the 360 but we haven't maxed out the PS3."

Daar staat tegenover dat Soderlund ook ziet dat de Xbox 360 momenteel erg sterk presteert. De aankondiging van Natal was zeker interessant en als Soderlund bij Sony zou werken, zou hij hoofdpijn krijgen van hoe goed de Xbox 360 verkoopt de laatste tijd.

"I like the Natal. That's cool. It's an interesting device, so I'm truly impressed by Xbox. It's my personal favourite console... I think Microsoft is on a roll right now. They're doing really well. If I was Sony, I would have a headache, to be honest."
