Guild Wars in-game winkel gaat online

De Guild Wars online shop is geopend en het zal mogelijk zijn om Guild Wars-games en accessoires te kopen in het spel zelf. De content zal direct gebruikt kunnen worden zonder extra downloads of CD's. In het begin zullen er vooral Guild Wars en Guild Wars Factions games verkocht worden, maar ook karakter-slots voor bestaande spelers. Deze slots zijn een item waar veel gamers om gevraagd hebben.

“For the first time, NCsoft is giving access to its PlayNC store from directly within a game,” aldus said Max Brown, manager verkopen van NCsoft Europa, “This means that when players want to buy something to enhance their Guild Wars experience, they can actually do their shopping inside the game, instantly.” Als je dus iets wilt kopen in de online winkel dan hoef je de game niet af te sluiten, maar kun je het gewoon vanuit de game kopen.
