Zoe Saldana wil rol in Guardians of the Galaxy

Zoe Saldana hoopt de rol van Gamora te spelen in de Marvel-film Guardians of the Galaxy. Dat schrijft het Amerikaanse entertainmenttijdschrift The Hollywood Reporter. Gamora is een van de hoofdpersonages van de film. Ze is een sexy huurmoordenaar en de dochter van de superslechterik Thanos.

James Gunn regisseert de film die in juni in productie gaat. De film is gebaseerd op de Marvelstrip Guardians of the Galaxy en gaat over een bonte verzameling superhelden. Parks and Recreation-acteur Chris Pratt speelt Star-Lord en Dave Bautista is te zien als Drax the Destroyer.

Saldana heeft de nodige ervaring met bovennatuurlijke personages. De 34-jarige actrice brak door als Neytiri in James Camerons Avatar en is later dit jaar te zien als Nyota Uhura in Star Trek Into Darkness.
