Xbox 2 komt eind oktober/ begin november

Het lijkt erop dat we de Xbox 2 (ofwel Xenon ofwel Xbox 360 ofwel Xbox Next) eind oktober, begin november in Europa kunnen bemachtigen. Bronnen binnen zowel MCVUK als Eurogamer wisten dit te vertellen. In Amerika zal het apparaat 'enkele weken' eerder te koop zijn.

Officieel zegt Microsoft het volgende:

"[...]
Microsoft has not made any announcements regarding the next generation. We are currently very focused on further building the success of the Xbox console today and are not speculating on timing for a future version.
[...]"

Uiteraard is er commentaar van de concurrentie. Bijvoorbeeld in de persoon van David Gosen (voormalig Director of Sales and Marketing bij Nintendo):
"[...]
in every cycle, some manufacturer who is not profiting from the current cycle is eager to kick-start the next one.
[...]"
