World of Tanks krijgt Fury-pakketten

Gamestudio Wargaming.net is een samenwerking aangegaan met filmstudio Sony Pictures. Het tankspel World of Tanks krijgt voor een korte tijd speciale ingame-pakketten in Fury-thema, de tweede wereldoorlogfilm met Brad Pitt die vanaf 23 oktober in de Nederlandse bioscopen draait.

Voor een beperkte tijd kunnen spelers van zowel World of Tanks als World of Tanks Xbox 360 edition en World of Tanks Blitz een M4 Sherman Tank aanschaffen met de hoofdpersoon van de film Wardaddy als tankcommandant. De tank wordt in het spel gezet als een Tier VI-voertuig.

"With Wargaming’s intense dedication to historical and technical accuracy, it seemed a natural fit to associate World of Tanks with FURY, the most realistic cinematic portrayal of tank combat to date", zegt Erik Whiteford, Director of Marketing bij Wargaming. "We are extremely proud to team up with Sony Pictures to include this heroic version of the classic Sherman tank to our players."

Het Fury-pakket is van 15 oktober tot en met 11 december te koop voor Xbox 360. Voor pc en mobiele spelers verschilt  de beschikbaarheidsdatum per regio. Deze data zijn nog niet bekend.
