Blizzard bant Diablo III-spelers

Vanmorgen heeft ontwikkelaar Blizzard bekendgemaakt dat een paar duizend Diablo III-spelers zijn geband. De spelers zijn geband vanwege het gebruik van bots tijdens het spelen. 

“We’ve recently issued account bans to several thousand Diablo III players who were found to be using botting programs while playing. In addition to undermining the spirit of fair play, botting, hacking, and other forms of cheating can also cause technical problems with the game as well as contribute to performance issues with the Battle.net service", aldus Blizzard Community Manager Lylirra.   

Om dit allemaal te voorkomen komt Blizzard volgend jaar met een patch waarmee spelers voortaan onacceptabel gedrag kunnen reporten. Toch zijn spelers niet tevreden over de manier van aanpak. Blizzard werd op hun forum bekritseerd, omdat ze te laat actie hebben ondernomen.
