Wii U GamePad batterijduur 3-5 uur

Nintendo heeft bekendgemaakt dat de Wii U GamePad een batterijduur heeft van drie tot vijf uur. Het opladen van de GamePad duurt zo'n 2,5 uur en werkt met een eigen AC Adaptor. Terwijl hij aan het opladen is, is gamen gewoon mogelijk.

De GamePad van de Wii U is 6.2 inch, heeft een 16:9 beeldscherm ratio en de batterij weegt zo'n halve kilo. Met de controller is het ook mogelijk om basisfuncties van de afstandsbediening van de televisie over te nemen. Lees hieronder de officiële tekst over de Wii U GamePad van Nintendo zelf.

“The Wii U GamePad controller removes the traditional barriers between games, players and the TV by creating a second window into the video game world. It incorporates a 6.2-inch, 16:9 aspect ratio LCD touch screen, as well as traditional button controls and two analog sticks.

“Inputs include a +Control Pad, L/R sticks, L/R stick buttons, A/B/X/Y buttons, L/R buttons, ZL/ZR buttons, Power button, HOME button, -/SELECT button, +/START button, and TV CONTROL button.

“The GamePad also includes motion control (powered by an accelerometer, gyroscope and geomagnetic sensor), a front-facing camera, a microphone, stereo speakers, rumble features, a sensor bar, an included stylus and support for Near Field Communication (NFC) functionality.

“It is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and weighs approximately 1.1 pounds (500 g).

“In addition to the 6.2-inch touch screen and dual analog sticks, the Wii U GamePad also includes traditional buttons for gaming and the ability to function as a TV remote.

“Users can change channels or adjust the sound, whether they are playing games or just watching TV. The GamePad is tied to the console and TV, providing a perfectly integrated experience, no matter how it’s being used.

“Players can move games from the TV to the GamePad. Different players can enjoy different experiences in the same game, depending on which controller they opt to use.”
