Dead Rising 2: Off The Record krijgt 30% meer zombies

Dead Rising 2: Off The Record is een expansionpack voor Dead Rising 2 en zal in oktober uitkomen. Om de nieuwe game te promoten, heeft Capcom Vancouver enkele leuke feitjes over zombies naar buitengebracht. Altijd willen weten hoeveel zombies er op je scherm verschijnen? Lees verder.

Frank, de protagonist, zal een heel stuk sterker zijn dan voorheen. Hierdoor is het mogelijk om nog meer zombies op het scherm te tonen. In sommige stukken zullen er zelfs 30% meer zombies neer te knallen zijn.

"This time around, because we made Frank a tougher character right at the beginning and we gave him more cool weapons that do a lot more damage, we actually managed to up the zombie density and have the world be a little more dangerous for him. In places, we upped the density by at least 30%. There are probably a few thousand zombies in any one environment."

Toen de demo van Dead Rising 2 werd getoond, waren er soms wel 7000 zombies tegelijk op je scherm. Capcom heeft dat uiteindelijk laten vallen vanwegeonbekende redenen. Off The Record zal dat getal echter wel gaan benaderen, verklaart Capcom. De nieuwe expansion laat je verder met nog meer wapens vechten, waaronder Franks camera.

"Not only is his camera the signature device and helps him earn PP (experience), the camera is involved with him solving missions. In one mission right at the very beginning where he sees the exchange of a bomb for money and he has to cover this with photographs to complete the mission.

"Also, Frank is a man of action. He gets in there and roughs people up and there are lots of bosses and psychos he encounters in the story as well, but the camera is an integral part."
