[E3] Kojima Productions benaderd voor Wii U-game
Nintendo heeft Kojima Productions benaderd voor het maken van een Wii U-game. Dit heeft de studio bevestigd. Nintendo heeft de Wii U een flinke tijd terug laten zien aan de studio, ver voor E3. Ze zijn op dit moment aan het bedenken hoe ze de console het best kunnen ondersteunen.
"Obviously we did have talks with Nintendo early on – they approached us with the Wii U. We can't say exactly when this happened or what kind of talks we've had but we were aware of the hardware and we've been looking at it. We are very much thinking about possibilities with the Wii U and it looks like a very fun system. As for whether we'll have something at launch for the Wii – we can't say that. Probably not, but we definitely have things in mind"
Voordat ze precies weten wat ze willen gaan maken, kijken ze goed naar de publieke opinie: wat wil de gamer?
"We're also looking at the public reaction. If there are enough people who say they want us to bring something to the Wii U that also factors into things"
Op de vraag of Metal Gear Solid 5 naar Wii U komt was het antwoord dat ze geen antwoord kunnen geven. Om preciezer te zijn, ze kunnen helemaal niets zeggen op dit moment. Waarschijnlijk moeten we tot de Tokyo Game Show wachten voordat Kojima Productions iets vertelt over hun Wii U-plannen.
"We anticipated we would get questions about this today and unfortunately our answer is, we can't answer that. We can't say anything right now. Top secret."
