Bill Gates: Natal ook naar PC voor Office-gebruik
Bill Gates was weer eens in de picture gisteren. In een interview met CNET zei hij namelijk dat Project Natal, de motion sensor camera die Bill's Xbox afdeling afgelopen E3 presenteerde, ook voor de PC ontwikkeld wordt. Nou ja 'PC', dat moet natuurlijk 'Windows' zijn, maar dat terzijde. Gek genoeg had Gates het echter niet over PC-toepassingen voor games, maar zei hij dat de depth sensing camera ook in te zetten zou moeten zijn voor - hou je vast - office gebruik! Briljant! Gates zei het volgende:"I think the value is as great for if you're in the home, as you want to manage your movies, music, home system type stuff, it's very cool there. And I think there's incredible value as we use that in the office connected to a Windows PC. So Microsoft research and the product groups have a lot going on there, because you can use the cost reduction that will take place over the years to say, why shouldn't that be in most office environments."
