Gears of War 2 niet in Japan?

De Xbox 360 lijkt eindelijk een beetje op gang te komen in Japan. De console heeft de afgelopen tijd meer verkocht dan de Playstation 3. Toch laat Microsoft niet alle games verschijnen op hun console.

Gears of War 2 is een van die games en gaat mogelijk niet in Japan verschijnen. Lokale retailers hebben de game niet in hun databank en volgens een blogger op een onofficieel Gears of War 2 forum is de game ook nergens te vinden in reclamefolders:

"The story isn't over. As I am walking out of the store, I notice the Xbox 360 2008 Autumn Catalog (Take Me I'm Free). So, I thought, this is great! At least maybe I can get some info out of the promotional literature. Guess what? Gears of War 2 is not listed ANYWHERE in the book. NOWHERE! Not even in the back index. They have games ranging from Too Human (old), Infinite Undiscovery (released a couple of weeks ago), to Star Ocean (2009). Even Gears of War the original is listed in there, but no Gears of War 2."

Microsoft reageerde hierop met: ""We have no announcements to make about Gears of War 2 releasing in Japan at this time." Is de game te Amerikaans voor Japan en verwacht Microsoft toch geen hoge verkopen? Of zal de game alsnog lanceren in Japan? Wij houden je op de hoogte.
