De National Academy Of Television Arts And Sciences die de Emmys uitreikt besloot de Emmy voor Technology And Engineering aan Sony uit te reiken voor hun SIXAXIS-controller.

Daarnaast ontving Sony ook de CES Best of Innovations Award for 2007, PC World's 20 Most Innovative Products Award, Sound and Vision's Editor's Choice Award en de Digital Innovation Award van The Digital Entertainment Group voor hun PS3.
