Peter Jackson praat over Halo verfilming

Peter Jackson sprak met website DarkHorizons over zijn laatste film King Kong en andere projecten. Eentje hiervan is de verfilming van de Halo reeks waarvoor Jackson de rol van executive-producer op zich zal nemen.

You're still producing Halo?
"Yeah."

What attracted you to Halo?
"I'm a fan of the game."

But video game movies suck.
"They do."

So what will be different?
"Hopefully it won't suck."

But why not direct?
"I want a break. I want to have the fun but not the hard work. I just want to be part of the creative team but not actually have the pain."

Is there a director?
"Not yet, no. We're talking to some people but we're going to be shooting that next year."

Er gaan geruchten dat Guillermo del Toro (IMDB) de Halo film zal gaan regisseren. Del Toro is bij de meeste mensen vooral bekend van Blade 2 & Hellboy.
