Nieuwe details Mario Kart DS en Nintendo WiFi

Jim Merrick heeft in een interview bij Meristation.com, een Spaans magazine, nieuwe details onthuld over Mario Kart DS en over de Nintendo WiFi Connection.

In dit interview heeft hij onthuld dat er maar liefst 25.000 duizend hotspots in Europa komen die door Nintendo Europe zijn opgezet. The USB WiFi-adapter zal, in tegenstelling tot in de VS, direct in de winkels beschikbaar zijn voor 39.95 euro. Nintendo zal vanaf 25 november online gaan in Europa.

Jim Merrick heeft ook bevestigd dat er een chat functie in Mario Kart DS zal zijn. Elke DS heeft een MAC adres die je moet doorgeven aan je vriend of vriendin zodat je met elkaar kan racen en chatten. Met onbekende mensen is het niet mogelijk om te chatten. If you don't know the people you are playing with, you won't be able to chat with them, to protect the privacy of the young users. On the other hand, if you play against a friend you'll be able to chat. Every DS has a MAC code, and you'll have to give this code to your friends to be able to play and chat with them.
