In een land waar 1,3 miljard mensen wonen is de kans dat er een paar goede gamers rondlopen erg groot. Voor de ACON Fatal1ty Great Wall Shootout werden vier van de beste uitgekozen die het op mochten nemen tegen 's werelds beste gamer, Johnathan 'Fatal1ty' Wendel. Het doel was duidelijk: maak Fatal1ty in in een 1v1 Deathmatch en ga naar huis met 1 miljoen Renminibi (800.000 euro). ABIT, sponsor van Fatal1ty, bood hiermee het hoogste bedrag in gaming prijzengeld ooit en wilde tevens haar nieuwe lijn van Fatal1ty-producten promoten.

ABIT is dan ook trots om aan te kondigen dat één van deze vier top gamers, genaamd Meng 'RocketBoy' Yang, het voor heeft gepresteerd Fatal1ty te verslaan in een spannende finale. Bij de prijsuitreiking gaf ABITs marketing director Scott Thirlwell het volgende commentaar:

We are thrilled that China's Best Gamer, RocketBoy, now receives some of the financial recognition that the world's best gamers should be seeing. ABIT's goal in holding the ACON Fatal1ty Great Wall Shootout in China was to bring immediate recognition of gaming to the people of China. ABIT also wanted to bring greater respect for esports, professional gaming competitions and the professional gamers themselves, not only in China but around the world. With this event, I believe we have achieved this.

ABIT kondigde, samen met partners Intel, ATi, Kingston, Creative, ViewSonic, Sina en PWX Systems, ook haar nieuwe lijn Fatal1ty gaminghardware aan. Allereerst het Fatal1ty AA8XE moederboard, gebaseerd op Intels 925 chipset. Daarnaast werd ook de Fatal1ty X700XT videokaart geïntroduceerd. Deze hardware werd ook gebruikt op de Shootout.

Over de overwinning op Fatal1ty gaf Rocketboy als commentaar:

Today is a day I thought would never happen. To be able to compete against the best gamer in the world in China for a prize of RMB 1,000,000 is something unreal. To be able to do that and win is dream-like. I want to thank ABIT and all the other companies for really supporting gaming.

Fatal1ty prees de prestatie van zijn tegenstander en zei:
