Nas, bekend van "If I Ruled The World" heeft de oorlog verklaard aan Jay-Z. Na 2Pac disst hij nu Jay-Z in zijn nummer Stillmatic van het gelijknamige album:
"You show off, I count off when you sample my voice, I rule you, before, you used to rap,
For shizzle you phony, the rapping version of SISQO"
Nas heeft zijn antwoord overigens al gehad in
Jay-Z "Takeover" van het album The Blueprint:
"You fell from top ten, not mentioned at all to your bodyguard's "Oochie Wally" verse better than yours
Matter fact you had the worst flow on the whole fuckin song".
Rapcommentatoren praten al over een tweede Tupac-tragedie in de maak. Zelf praat Jay-Z er nogal luchtig over:
"Anything is possible. That's just part of life, but I'm not a dummy. I'm not a stupid guy. I'm sure if we wanted to do something to each other we wouldn't be talking about it on music."
