Gezonken oorlogsschip voor het eerst vastgelegd tijdens diepste wrakduik ooit
Een Amerikaanse expeditie heeft opnames gemaakt van het scheepswrak van een Amerikaanse ‘destroyer’ (een torpedobootjager) uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Dit wrak bevindt zich op een diepte van bijna 6.500 meter voor de kust van de Filipijnen. Het gaat om het scheepswrak waarvan bekend is dat het op het diepste punt ter wereld ligt. Het is de eerste keer dat het wrak zo uitvoerig werd verkend. Meer hierover in de Stentor.
