Zelda is goed vertegenwoordigd in Smash Bros.
Sakurai heeft veel interesse in The Legend of Zelda. Dit maakt de ontwikkelaar duidelijk in de Smash Bros.-update van vandaag. Hierin geeft hij aan dat The Legend of Zelda goed is vertegenwoordigd in de nieuwe Super Smash Bros.
''Out of the new items, more than a few will be from The Legend of Zelda series. We'll take the most interesting and straightforward ones and reformulate them to match the Smash Bros. world,'' aldus Sakurai. Na eerder al Link en Toon Link te hebben bevestigd als speelbare personages en meerdere items uit het Zelda-universum te hebben getoond, zoals de cuccoo's en beetle, is er nu weer een nieuwe item. Dit keer maakt The Gust Bellows zijn opwachting: ''The Gust Bellows can blow opponents away with its powerful wind blasts. When someone drops it, though, the gusts run wild!''
Super Smash Bros. is in ontwikkeling voor 3DS en Wii U en moet dit jaar nog verschijnen.
