Xbox 360 krijgt een systeemupdate
Dat Microsoft nog niet klaar is met de Xbox 360 wordt duidelijk omdat Microsoft nog steeds software updates voor hun console uitbrengt. Behalve wat updates waarvan je waarschijnlijk niets merkt, wordt er ook de nieuwe XboxVideo huurdienst geïntroduceerd.
"If you look at Xbox 360 that platform [has] lasted for seven to eight years and it's going to go for another three years," zei Yusuf Mehdi, de eindbaas van de marketingafdeling, afgelopen September nog over de ondersteuning van de Xbox 360. "We are going to continue to invest in Xbox 360 and the two devices can work in concert. In fact, we are going to ship over 100 new games on Xbox 360, so you will still be able to play your games, just not on the same exact box."
