Crysis 3 komt niet uit op Wii U
Het is hoogst onwaarschijnlijk dat Crysis 3 een release gaat krijgen op Wii U. Dat zegt Cryteks creative development director Rasmus Højengaard in een interview met Destructoid. Volgens hem is er 'geen enkele kans' dat het spel uit gaat komen op Nintendo's nieuwe console.
“I don’t think it’s possible. Right now the launch platforms are PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. I don’t think it’s on the cards to do a Wii U version”, legt Højengaard uit.
Hij geeft verder in het interview aan dat de technische specificaties van de console niet ten grondslag ligt aan de beslissing. “I would say that our game is less reliant on technical capabilities this time around because of the setting. You could remove a lot of the fancy render tech and still it’d look great… we want to ensure that the experience of playing the game is not going to differ from platform to platform, only the fidelity of the visuals.”
Crysis 3 komt in het voorjaar van 2013 uit op Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 en pc.
