Nieuw Alan Wake-project is geen Alan Wake 2
Er gingen de laatste tijd geruchten rond van een nieuw Alan Wake project, maar Remedy bevestigt nu dat het niet gaat om Alan Wake 2 of DLC voor het eerste deel. Er komt een ander Alan Wake-gerelateerd project. Wat dat precies gaat worden willen ze nu nog niet vertellen.
"Fans of the franchise will be excited to learn that yes, more Wake is coming! But to be absolutely certain to avoid confusion, this next Wake instalment will not be Alan Wake 2. And neither will it be DLC."
Een deel van het Remedy team is al maanden bezig met het project. Men is erop gericht zowel bestaande fans te plezieren als nieuwelingen te introduceren in de wereld van de schrijver Alan Wake. Een vaste releasedatum is nog niet bekend, maar Remedy hint op herfst dit jaar. Platformen zijn ook nog niet bekend, maar het gerucht gaat dat het om een Kinect-game zal gaan.
"It's something that'll definitely give more to the Wake fans out there, but just as importantly, this instalment will also give an opportunity for players who aren't familiar with the franchise to finally jump on board. We can't wait to show you more, bear with us. Release dates, platforms and pricing are unconfirmed as of yet, but Fall 2011 is probably a good guess."
