Rock Band 2 ondersteunt vanaf nu instrumenten van GH:WT

Harmonix heeft vandaag een patch voor de PS3-versie van Rock Band 2 vrijgegeven. Deze patch fixt enkele bugs, maar voegt ook iets toe. Nou, wat voegt het toe? Er is nu ondersteuning voor de instrumenten van Guitar Hero: World Tour. Tevens ondersteunt Rock Band 2 vanaf nu de instrumenten van Rock Revolution.

"Consumers should not be forced to buy separate controllers for each game. Rock Band peripherals should be compatible with other music games - even those of our competitors."

"We are extremely excited that consumers can finally use the peripherals of their choice with their games on the PS3, and that they no longer need to buy multiple guitars or drums," aldus een developer van Harmonix.

Microsoft en Sony hadden beiden al plannen om een patch uit te brengen voor ondersteuning van de instrumenten. Harmonix is echter sneller. Momenteel is de patch exclusief voor de PlayStation 3, maar de Xbox 360-versie van de patch komt ook binnenkort uit.
