De game Burnout Paradise is zoals je mag verwachten van een beetje race-game zowel online als offline te spelen. En ondanks de belofte van Microsoft dat het ontbreken van een harde schijf in je console geen beperkingen zou opleveren, heeft een Britse gamer moeten ondervinden dat Burnout Paradise niet online te spelen is zonder harde schijf. Meer games hebben een hard disk als vereiste, maar in tegenstelling tot die games heeft Burnout Paradise nergens op de verpakking staan dat een harde schijf vereist is om online te kunnen spelen.

Nadat hij EA Customer Support had benaderd, kreeg hij het volgende mailtje terug:

Thank you for writing us at EA Technical Support. I understand that you are currently having issues with the requirements for Burnout Paradise. I apologize for your situation, and the inconvenience that this causes you.

The hard drive is needed to store temporary data when playing online as the data transferred from one console to another requires storage space greater than what the memory card can contain.
