Anti-hot coffee patch gereleased

Gamers kunnen zich nu eindelijk weren tegen alle immorele schunnigheid die present is in de PC versie van Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas; Rockstar Games, de maker van GTA:SA, heeft namelijk een patch gereleased voor deze game die naast dat het een paar bugfixes bevat het onmogelijk maakt voor de beruchte Hot Coffee mod om te werken.

De Hot Coffee mod is een mod die wanneer opgezocht, gedownload en geïnstalleerd een seks minigame unlockt binnen de game. Iets wat voor veel ophef zorgde in de Verenigde Staten, aangezien het doodknuppelen van politieagenten iets was wat men daar wel geschikt achtte voor 17-jarigen, maar soft-core seks-scenes niet. Hierdoor werd de rating van GTA:SA aangepast van Mature naar Adult Only wat als groot gevolg had dat GTA:SA uit een hoop schappen gehaald werd.

Mensen die de Hot Coffee mod al geïnstalleerd hebben zullen de game opnieuw moeten installeren om vervolgens de patch toe te passen. Doet men dit niet dan zal dit zorgen voor bugs tijdens het spelen.

De patch is hier te downloaden en bevat zoals eerder gezegd ook een aantal bugfixes zoals voor de bekende "Rain / Thunderstorm bug" wat het de patch toch het installeren waard zou kunnen maken.

- Crash when entering advanced display options on a dual monitor machine after
:- starting game on primary monitor in maximum resolution, exiting, starting
again in maximum resolution on secondary monitor. Secondary monitor maximum
resolution had to be greater than maximum resolution of primary monitor.

- Destroyed cars now are correct colour.

- Dirty cars now able to get clean.

- Numpad 5 key is now mappable when re-defining controls.

- Issue on all machines where certain collisions caused parts of the audio
system to crash (sound effects, cutscene audio - only radio keeps going) -
users know this as "Rain / Thunderstorm bug".

- Improvements to DVD streaming.

- Audio problems in interior / exterior transitions and getting in / out of
cars fixed.

- Some fixes to ensure reverb is not present at certain save points.

- Improvements to dance game timings.

- Crash occuring when using "user radio files" while the frame limiter is
disabled.
