Doom III voor doven en slechthorenden
Close Captioning wil zeggen dat men de geluiden in het spel zoveel mogelijk vertaald naar het geschreven woord. Zo mis je bijvoorbeeld geen belangrijke hints of vijanden die op je afsluipen. Ook is het een handig hulpmiddel voor mensen die de Engelse taal beter willen beheersen.
Deze eerste release is niet 100% correct. Er zullen wat ondertitels missen. In latere delen hoopt men meer talen en kleurcodes (zodat je weet wie precies wat zegt) te kunnen implementeren.

(S.L. Medley): We have them on radar, sir, they'll be landing in a few moments.
(Betruger): Excellent. See that Counselor Swann is sent directly to me.
(S.L. Medley): Yes sir.
