"McCarthy is already resigned to losing Roy Keane's midfield partner, the Charlton Athletic skipper Mark Kinsella, who is out with a hernia problem.

But the Irish boss also faces being without Spurs right back Stephen Carr (knee), and centre-half pairing Kenny Cunningham and Gary Breen, who both have hamstring problems.

"Mark is definitely out for up to six weeks while Gary Breen, Stephen Carr and Kenny Cunningham are all struggling," said McCarthy, who could be without three-quarters of his first choice defence for the game against the Dutch on September 1.

"Losing Mark is a disappointment because he's been fantastic for us in this campaign. There's nothing I can do about it but reshuffle the pack."

Beetje minder dit....kom zelf uit Ierland....
