Bewoners ISS onderweg

De eerste bewoners van het International Space Station (ISS) komen steeds dichterbij hun nieuwe onderkomen. Ze maken op dit moment rondjes rond de aarde om steeds dichterbij het ruimtestation te komen. Op dit moment heeft de Sojoez al bijna 18.000 kilometer afgelegd en nadert met elk rondje het station met 1120 kilometer.

Poetin stuurde de astronauten vandaag l een telegram, waarin hij het volgende zei:


It's up to you, the first permanent crew on the International Space Station, to open a new chapter in the history of international space exploration: to make habitable the orbital 'house' that has been created through the labor of specialists from various countries.


De astronauten zullen tot eind februari in het station blijven, waarna ze met de space shuttle Discovery terugkeren.
