SEGA kondigt Alien: Isolation aan
Eerder vandaag dook de game al op in de Xbox Store, maar SEGA heeft Alien: Isolation zojuist ook officieel aangekondigd. De game neemt ons terug naar de sfeer van de klassieke film uit 1979. De game wordt ontwikkeld door Creative Assembly, ook wel bekend van de Total War-serie.
Alien: Isolation vindt plaats in een buiten bedrijf genomen handelsstation, waar angst en paniek de bewoners heeft overgenomen. Volgens SEGA zullen spelers in een sfeer van constante angst moeten overleven, terwijl een onvoorspelbare, meedogenloze Xenomorph in de schaduw wacht.
“In Alien: Isolation, we have taken the series back to the roots of Ridley Scott’s 1979 movie, the original survival horror,” zo vertelt Alistair Hope, creative lead bij Creative Assembly. “Our Alien is a truly terrifying creature, as intelligent as he is hostile, relentless, brutal and unstoppable. This is the Alien game fans of the series have always wanted.”
Jeffrey Godstick, president van Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products is ook tevreden: “Creative Assembly has created a truly incredible gaming experience, capturing perfectly the very core of what has made the Alien franchise remain relevant after 35 years. This partnership has led to the creation of a game that is simply outstanding and sets the tone for what is to come this year for the 35th anniversary of Alien.”
Alien: Isolation komt naar verwachting eind 2014 uit voor pc, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 en Xbox One.
